A string quartet consists of four musicians: 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello. The string quartet is the "classic" ensemble that has been playing events for hundreds of years. Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, and all the famous composers regarded the string quartet as a perfect and complete chamber ensemble. The string quartet is perfect for events of all sizes, and has the largest song list available. We currently have over 1000 songs for quartet. See our song list here.

A string trio consists of three musicians: 1 violin, 1 viola, 1 cello. It is performed for events of all sizes. Our string trio list has about 95% of the songs of the string quartet, and is a full, complete sounding ensemble for any genre. See our song list here.

A string duo consists of 2 musicians: 1 violin and 1 cello. Because there is only a high instrument (melody) and low instrument (bass line), the song list is more limited. There are many classical and contemporary songs on this list, but you won't find as many contemporary selections as for quartet or trio. See our song list here.

A violin soloist (1 musician) has a distinct sound of its own, very different from our other ensembles. Its sweet, soaring melody is all alone, without accompaniment. This choice is best for small, intimate events. See our song list here.
